It’s always good to hear from Charlie,
But did you know he has a “Time Capsule”?
He said everytime he goes deep into his garage to find,
Old boxes that will transport him back in time.
Back to our innocence and youth,
When we were back at Holy Cross
Where we danced on a gym floor with socks, no worries or care,
Looking for a girl with the raven hair.
Charlie said he found a treasure unfolded
Of a big list of names of classmates from 1970,
From fifty-something years ago,
Back when we had big bell bottom pants and boots
When most of us still had big hair and girls had pantsuits.
Just thinking about that time and how it was, brings back very good memories of the good times we had back then. Good to hear from you, Charlie!
