My Cancer Recovery

I thank the Lord, Almighty
That with Him, Dr. Naveen Kella, my wife, and Son close by
I had my Cancer cut out today
A bit rough when waking from surgery,
But it’s now out of my body, I pray,

My baby brother, Ed, friends- Yolanda, Dell, my Holy Cross Brother Carlos, that came to visit; and of course, my other brothers, uncles/aunts, nieces/nephews, family cousins from all over, awaiting news;
A bunch of my Holy Cross classmates/Brothers, all
life-long friends that were also awaiting word, all day;
I can’t thank you all enough, so fortunate to have so many who care, I just have to say.

Now being unconscious medically sometimes has it’s perks,
Like fast-forward dreaming, from one scene to another under anesthesia- with Dad & Mom in Vegas, with my dear Son at the Spurs game, and with my honey on a date;
Now I can’t do the peppermint twist or any kind of dance yet,
Hurts like heck to cough, but now no cancer & peace of mind awaits,
Surely I thank God for saving me by His grace.

I would like to acknowledge my dear wife, Terry, who has assisted me greatly in my recuperation, I know I wouldn’t not have been able to do it without her. Also, thanks to my Son, Rob, for always being there when we need him.

I would also like to thank the nursing staff at Foundation Surgical Hospital- Alex & Jennifer on Days Shift, and Niesha & Patricia on nights.

  1. Bobby,
    Praise be the Lord! I remembered last night and I asked God to please forgive your sins, if any, and guide your surgeon’s hands and cure you 100%!
    Then I concentrated for a minute to make sure he heard my pleas for a person, my nephew Bobby Collazo!

  2. Praise God!! You indeed have in my prayers 🙏 all this week. On Tuesday I remembered you at Mass, praying for you and the doctors and medical team.
    As we enter Holy Week, may this sacred time be filled with continued healing, grace and blessings . May our risen Savior and His loving Mother Mary hold you and fill you with peace and restore you to health ! Blessings dear friend! Carolyn
