I have been blessed in the doorway to life.
From the early days where I lived life in a blaze,
To now, where the years have slowly slipped away,
I see all the many long, good buffets I’ve had, and think
Life has been truely good to me, in life’s beltway.
I thank God for all the many things He has given me,
From my wife, who has stuck to me to the nth degree;
To a beautiful Son, who has made us both proud,
From past family and friends who are no longer with us,
I thank God today, who has surrounded and covered me
With too many blessings to count, like a big oak tree.
