I woke up this morning at seventy-three,
Thanking God for my long life,
Full of rich blessings, that’s the main key,
With a wife and kids and love to the nth degree,
and they truly spoil me.
With a loving family and life-long friends
Along my very long dirt road,
Has made it extra, extra special;
For I never would have thought
That God would have granted me this fate,
At this age, at this time, with a long-past due expiration date!
