I thank God that the Lord put me on a path that led me to my high school classmate and life-long friend and ENT Doctor/Surgeon, who implanted my Inspire Implant. This implant cured me from the potentially deadly obstructed sleep apnea that I used to have.
My Inspire device was implanted back in October, 2024. Now, for the past 5-6 months, you could say I have been sleeping like a baby, very well, with restful nights, 2-3 hours of Deep Sleep and 2-3 hours of REM sleep, according to my Garmin watch.
Last night I completed a sleep study that, hopefully, will confirm the device is working, and that it is stopping my sleep apnea episodes. However, I won’t know the actual results until I see the sleep doctor or the PA in June.
If anyone has ever gone through a sleep study, you know quite the ordeal that it can be. However, in my long life with all the blessings that I have had, it was nothing compared to the other major issue that I have dealt with in my life.
My thanks to Stacie, the tech on duty last night at my sleep study. She’s very good at her job, and was extremely kind and gentle with me, and I thank her for that.
