We aspire to it; we live our whole life to reach that one plateau.
But when we’re on the brink,
Do we really want to go?
Do we freely want to leave the love of our lives, take our last breath,
And succumb to death?
That is the question.
Human nature tells us that most of us won’t want to leave this place.
But soon enough, all of us will leave this crazy rat-race.
Even though we’re now on the ground floor,
We won’t really know, if we want to go, until death’s instant before.
However, if you’ve done good;
Done your best to aspire for your fellow man on this earth;
Then there should be no hesitation at that doorstep to our rebirth;
Knowing just across the other side;
Great happiness and bliss will eternally reside.
